Mohan Bhagwat bats for wider promotion of Sanskrit

Describing Sanskrit as a vital link between India’s diverse linguistic traditions and a gateway to the country’s civilizational heritage, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Monday, April 20, 2026, called for expanding the use of the ancient language across the country.

Mr Bhagwat was speaking at the launch of the newly built headquarters of Sanskrit Bharati, an arm of the RSS, in New Delhi, where he called on the organization to make ‘huge efforts’ to promote the language which every individual in India can speak equally.
