AP to Grade Teachers Based on Class 10 Students’ Average Marks
Amaravati: The Department of School Education has announced that subject teachers will now be given grades based on the average marks obtained by Class 10 students. These grades will also serve as an important criterion in selecting teachers for future state-level awards.
Senior officials held an online meeting with district officials on Monday to review arrangements for the upcoming SSC exams. The state government will depute invigilating staff directly from the state level and teachers will also be centrally selected for answer sheet evaluation. Each answer sheet should be evaluated with a special time of at least 12-15 minutes.
Starting from December 15th, 10th grade students will not be given any non-academic activities. Daily tests should be taken and marks should be uploaded online. Slip test answer scripts must be retained by principals until the general examinations are completed.
Officials also said that instructions will be issued at the state level to mentor or “adopt” students to track their academic progress.
