Apple just announced MacBook Pro, iPad Pro And Vision Pro On Wednesday, the models will be introduced with an updated M5 chip that will allow them to run faster than their predecessors.
The new MackBook Pro models start at $1,599 and go on sale October 22. The 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $999. The latest Apple Vision Pro with Dual Mesh Band starts at $3,499.
The new devices, available for pre-order now, are the latest additions to Apple’s fall product catalog.
The company launched the iPhone 17 and Apple Watch Series 11 models in September. Apple typically follows this with updated laptops, iPads or other devices in October.
Apple’s December quarter was its biggest quarter in terms of sales, driven by holiday and Christmas shopping. That’s why the company usually updates its best-selling products in the fall. This year is also the first quarter of iPhone 17 sales.
Wednesday’s announcement comes as Wall Street analysts are closely watching Apple’s new releases to see whether the company is raising prices or cutting costs related to tariffs that President Donald Trump has announced and threatened, particularly on semiconductors and China.
Although iPads and MacBooks are not as critical to Apple as iPhone sales, they are still huge businesses.
Apple reported $6.58 billion in iPad sales in the June quarter; This figure showed an 8% decrease on an annual basis. This was attributed to difficult comparisons with the company’s previous year quarter when the new iPad Pros were launched.
Mac sales in the June quarter reached $8.05 billion, up 15% from the same period last year. Earlier this year, Apple released a new version of its best-selling laptop called the MacBook Air.
Apple has never released figures for its Vision Pro headset, but they rank alongside sales of the Apple Watch and AirPods among the company’s other wearables or products. Analysts believe the company’s Vision Pro revenue is negligible.
MacBook, iPads, and Vision Pro combined are far less than Apple’s iPhone revenue; This accounts for more than 47% of the company’s June quarter revenue (just under $45 billion). Wall Street analysts tend to focus on iPhone sales and growth in the company’s secondary product lines.
