Apple Just Made an Important Change to Your iPhone — Here’s How to Change It Back

The change comes with iOS 26, but not everyone will like it.
With iOS 26, Apple brings a significant change to something you’ve done a lot, probably a lot: iPhone screenshots.
It still works the same – press to press the side button and sound level at the same time – but after an iPhone screenshot, you will be greeted with a new preview experience… You may love or you may not.
If you don’t like this new preview experience, the good news is that you can easily change it.

Turn off the screenshot preview
Before iOS 26, the preview of your screenshot appeared as a small preview window under the screen. There is a few seconds left and if selected, you can edit your screenshot more (crop or mark) and then select where to save, or just “copy and delete”. If you have not selected your screenshot, it will disappear and save your photo application.
It automatically triggers a full -screen preview page that allows you to access similar editing features and Apple Intelligence features (if your iPhone supports) to get a screenshot with iOS 26, search for images or ask what is the screenshot of the Chatgpt.

And the striker is that this new full screen preview does not disappear after a few seconds. You need to get out of this physically, you can find it annoying again.
Once your iPhone runs iOS 26, it is as simple as switching to a setting to close the preview of this screenshot. What to do:
-
Open the Settings application on your iPhone.
-
Close full screen previews.

Once you’ve been switched off, the screenshot preview experience will return how it was once before iOS 26. One difference, if you click the small preview of your screenshot, it will take you to the full screen preview experience.
iOS 26 is supported by iPhone 11 or new iPhones.
