Apple’s Foldable iPhone Could Feature Side-Button Touch ID Instead of Face ID

According to Technology Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple can integrate into the side button of the foldable iPhone that approaches a touch identity feature.

In an article in X, Kuo said that the rumors of market rumors that suggest that the foldable iPhone might have an open ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Instead, Apple may prefer the side button touch identity, which is expected to be provided by Luxshare Bit.

Kuo did not predict this feature for the first time. In March 2024, Apple’s first foldable iPhone could reduce the face ID and “thickness and interior restrictions” can bring back the Touch ID. The touch identity is integrated into the side button similar to those found in the iPad Air.

KUO also said that the foldable iPhone will be positioned as a senior device and that it could make retail sales between $ 2,000 ($ 1,76,360) and $ 2,500 (2,20.071).

According to Kuo, the foldable iPhone 7.8 inches will have a book -style design with a 5.5 -inch exterior. The device is expected to be 9 – 9.5 mm thick and 4.5 – 4.8 mm thick when not folded. In terms of cameras, it will offer a dual camera installation and a prominent camera designed to be available both when the device is folded and folded.
