April exam calendar 2026: JEE, UPSC, board exams and government job notifications
A number of important entry, recruitment and board exams are scheduled in April 2026, making this a very important month for students and job aspirants. From engineering entrance tests to UPSC exams and board finals, candidates are advised to keep track of the dates and plan accordingly.
Entrance exams in April 2026
- JEE Main 2026 (Session 2): Conducted by the National Testing Agency, the exams will be held from April 2 to April 8.
- VITEEE 2026: It will be organized by Vellore Institute of Technology from 28 April to 3 May.
- MHT CET 2026:
- PCM streaming: April 11 – 19
- PCB flow: April 21-26
- MET 2026 (Phase 1): Held by Manipal Academy of Higher Education on 13 and 14 April.
- NCET 2026: National Common Entrance Test for teacher programs on April 17.
- WEEE 2026 (Phase 2): Scheduled from 25 April to 30 April.
State and employment exams
- UPSC NDA and NA (I) 2026: 12 April
- UPSC CDS (I) 2026: 12 April
- RBI Assistant 2026 (Preliminary): Expected on 11 April
- IDBI Junior Deputy Manager: Online test on April 12
- RRB NTPC 2026 (Phase 1): Tentatively planned for April
- United India Insurance Company (UIIC) is expected to release AO 2026 recruitment notification in the first week of April
- Other exams: MOIL Management Intern (April 3), BPSC AEDO (April 14-21), Haryana Civil Services (April 26)
Board exams and school evaluations
- CBSE Class 10 and 12: Exams expected to end on April 9, 2026
- NIOS (National Institute for Open Schooling):
- Practical exams end on April 1
- Theoretical exams will start on April 10 and continue until May
