Argentina loosens visa requirement for Chinese citizens

(Reuters) -Angentina said in a statement on Monday that the US citizens of Chinese entry visa will not need an Argentine visa to enter the country for tourism or business, which is relaxed in the midst of heating bonds between Beijing and Buenos Aires.

Argentina is an important product supplier such as beef, soy and lithium to the Chinese market, and in recent years, cooperation between the two countries has deepened.

China is the second largest trade partner of Argentina after Brazil and key investor in infrastructure, energy and mining projects in the country.

China also extended a billions of dollars of trade line to Argentina and combined billions of dollars of repayments that the Latin American country should pay in the coming months.

Argentina is also part of China’s Belt and Road attempt, which he participated in 2022.
