Armed suspect sought after robbing Massachusetts mansion, tying up housekeeper

Massachusetts authorities are searching for an armed suspect accused of robbing a $20 million mansion and tying a housekeeper to a sophisticated robbery.
The incident occurred around 8:50 a.m. Saturday morning after a neighbor called 911 to report a home invasion at the 27,000-square-foot property in Beverly. accordingly WCVB.
Investigators said the suspect attacked the maid, who was the only person in the house at the time, and tied her up before taking several items.

“What they did to my maid was truly horrific,” homeowner Thomas Swan III told WCVB.
“She was held at gunpoint, sometimes dragged by her hair, eventually tied up and left in the garage. She’s really special, but she’s really traumatized by this, really traumatized.”

After the robber left, the cleaner managed to escape and fled to a nearby neighbor’s house to seek help. Beverley Police Department said.
The woman, who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, was later discharged.

The robber fled the scene in a Porsche stolen by police from a home located a few miles away in Lynn, WCVB reported.
GOT A TIP?
While the homeowner did not disclose exactly which items were stolen, the robber reportedly knew the property and targeted specific items.
“They knew what they were after,” Swan told the outlet. “They were looking for something very special and valuable that they stole.”
