Army Public School in Delhi receives bomb threat mail, search underway

Army Public School in Delhi Cantonment received a bomb threat email on Monday, prompting security agencies to launch a search operation at the school, an official of the Delhi Fire Services said.

The school administration informed the authorities after receiving an e-mail in the morning warning that explosives had been placed on the campus.

“We are verifying the source of the email. Nothing suspicious has been found so far. As a precautionary measure, an extensive search operation is on in the evacuated school premises,” said a senior police officer.

The official added that the cyber cell was connected to trace the source of the email and identify the sender.

Delhi Police, bomb squad, dog squad and fire brigade were at the scene, the officer said.
