Arnold Schwarzenegger gets honorary doctorate in Northern Ireland after trolling Trump’s defunct university

Arnold Schwarzenegger received an honorary doctorate from the University of Ulster (UU) in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
This comes six years after the 78-year-old Austrian and American star mocked Donald Trump’s failing university in a virtual commencement speech to graduates stuck at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

An Instagram post shared by the UU on Monday read: ‘Today, we awarded an Honorary Doctorate to @schwarzenegger for his extraordinary career and significant contributions to public service, environmental action and the arts.’
Schwarzenegger’s first trip to the capital Belfast was in 1966, when he entered his first bodybuilding competition at the age of 19.
The UU’s message continued: ‘Governor Schwarzenegger’s visit has personal significance as it coincides with the 60th anniversary of his first visit to Northern Ireland as a young bodybuilder.’
