Queensland man charged for allegedly attempting to meet up with ‘child’

A 35 -year -old man from Queensland was accused of allegedly trying to meet with what he believed to be a child under 16 years old for sexual actions.

Police said he was accustomed to social media to claim that the man was actually in contact with the child, a secret police officer.

At the beginning of this week, the officers called the man’s house in Buccan and seized electronic devices.

Since then, the man has been accused of using the internet to supply children under the age of 16 and was released under strict bail conditions.

He is expected to appear at the Beenleight Magistrate Court on September 10th.

Detective Acting Inspector Cameron Burke said that such arrests emphasized the risks posed to children by online predators.

Burke said, “It is important that parents and caregivers are aware of which applications, settings and platforms use and actively control their online activities, Bur said Burke.

“Our priority is to ensure the safety of children, if you encounter suspicious or inappropriate behaviors against an online child, we want you to inform you immediately.”
