The blockbuster movie Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, has been unstoppable at the box office since its release on December 5. The spy thriller broke several major showbiz records on its way to becoming one of the highest-grossing films in India. Completing its fourth weekend in theatres, Dhurandhar has earned around Rs 700 crore at the domestic box office. Even on its fourth Sunday (December 28), the film achieved an impressive occupancy rate of 46.58 percent.
Dhurandhar attack continues
Dhurandhar earned Rs 15 billion in India on Friday, December 26, followed by Rs 20.5 billion on Saturday. According to Sacnilk.com’s initial estimates, the film recorded a surge by collecting Rs 22.25 million at the ticket offices across India on Sunday. This takes Dhurandhar’s total earnings so far to Rs 690.25 billion. The action film currently stands as the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Dhurandhar is also a hit outside India, with its worldwide box office collection crossing the Rs 1,050 crore mark.
Dhurandhar 2 is coming soon
Directed by Aditya Dhar (who also directed the 2019 hit Uri), Dhurandhar is an underworld epic about a complex network of criminals, informants and agents whose lives intersect in a troubled Pakistani town called Lyari. It also stars actors like Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan and Rakesh Bedi. The film was produced by Aditya Dhar and his brother Lokesh Dhar through their banner B62 Studios along with Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios. The second episode of Dhurandhar will be released in March 2026, coinciding with Eid-al-Adha.
