Telangana Sees Near-Normal Rainfall So Far

Haydarabad: According to the Tengana Development Planning Association (TSPP), Tahangana has so far recorded 131.7 mm cumulative rainfall since the beginning of the southwest monsoon. This generally puts the state under the “normal” precipitation category and there is only 6 percent deviation from the average.

Data throughout the region show unequal distribution. TGDPS data reveals that 18 districts receive insufficient rainfall and four districts are under a large category. Only three regions have recorded excessive rainfall and the remaining eight normal range.

The southern regions, especially Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Jogulamba Gadwal and Mahabubnagar, continue to receive rainfall below normal. In contrast, some of the North and Central Tahangana saw stronger spells. Bhadradri Kothagudem, Nirmal and Sangarereddy are among the regions that recorded excessive rainfall in the same period.

The first week of July was a change in the trend. Only between June 26 and July 2, Telangana received 67.7 mm rainfall against a normal normal for that week, 83 percent.

In May, the state recorded a large rainfall in the early season, contributing to the improvement of moisture and helping to fill small irrigation tanks in some regions. However, this acceleration did not continue in June and led to the current irregular scenario.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts slightly moderate rains in several districts in the coming days, and isolated heavy magic. However, unless the rainfall belt changes south, districts in the open region may continue to be delayed in agricultural activity.

Authorities advise farmers in low washing zones to expect more soil moisture, especially for water -sensitive products. Even if the reservoirs such as Jurala and Srisailam continue to wait for the consistent shower showers, they first receive healthy entrances from the Krishna basin in the Upper Flow states.

According to Balaji T, an independent air audience, the floods of the Srisailam Dam were opened on Tuesday and pointed to the oldest door openings in July. He drew attention to the fact that such an opening occurred in July, only in July, the previous dates 23 July 2007, 28 July 2021, 23 July 2022 and 29 July 2024.
