Char Dham Yatra: Helicopter ferry pilgrims, including six, five women, collapses in Uttarakhand
Annual Char Dham Yatra, which contains pilgrimage to Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri, is one of the most important religious journeys in Hinduism. The state government has raised a series of infrastructure in recent years to provide a safer and smoother pilgrimage experience for those who have been dedicated – including advanced roads, helicopter services and better accommodation.
This year, Kedarnath Dham saw an unprecedented pilgrimage that the authorities attributed to both developed facilities and increasing spiritual interest. Authorities also used advanced security and medical intervention teams to effectively manage the High altitude Yatra. The Temple of Kedarnath, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is located in the Himalayalar at a height of more than 11,000 ft and has tremendous religious importance. For the year 2025, the gates of Kedarnath were opened for those who were dedicated to 2 May.
