Ashvir Singh Johal: Morecambe appoint Sikh as youngest boss in top five tiers

Singh Johal previously worked as the assistant of Cesc Fabregas with the youth team in the Italian side under the Kolo Toure in Wigan and on the Italian side.

In early this summer, Singh Johal became one of the youngest coaches in British football history to complete the UEFA Pro undergraduate qualification.

In 2022, he spent 10 years in various roles at the Leicester City Academy before moving to senior football with Wigan.

In an interview with the BBC in June, Singh Johal said, “I was lucky to work with amazing people and learn from them, and I am especially grateful to Kolo and Cesc.

“I know what first -class standards look, how to lead with clarity, and how to develop a team with a real identity.

He continued: “We will create an environment that brings the best of people, who wants to be a part of people and pushes people to develop every day.”
