Asia markets mostly climb after AI trade lifts Wall Street overnight

Asia-Pacific markets opened mostly higher on Tuesday after AI trading lifted major Wall Street indexes overnight.
Nvidia shares rose more than 1% after Reuters reported that the company plans to begin shipping H200 chips to China in mid-February. Micron Technology is up around 4%, while Oracle is up more than 3%.
Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 rose 0.67% and continues to gain for the fourth consecutive day.
of japan Nikkei 225 was flat, while the broad-based Topix saw a larger gain of 0.48%.
South Korea’s kospi It rose 0.55% but the small-cap Kosdaq fell 0.64%.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index rose 0.27%, while China’s CSI 300 index rose marginally.
In Southeast Asia, Singapore is due to release inflation data for November, and economists surveyed by Reuters expect the city-state’s inflation rate to rise to its highest level in 2025.
