Assembly Elections LIVE: Repoll ordered in one polling booth in Assam today

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has ordered re-polling on Friday, April 10, 2026, at a booth in Karimganj (North) constituency in Assam’s Sribhumi district.

The re-survey was ordered from Babyland High School English School’s booth 239.

Re-voting will take place on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The re-election decision was taken following clashes between BJP and Congress supporters.

There are 14 candidates in this constituency in Barak Valley; There is a three-way race between Subrata Chaudhari of the BJP, Jakaria Ahmed of the Congress and Choudhury Hibbur Rasul Usama Mabrur of the AIUDF.
