Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay on Sunday, March 22, 2026, announced candidates for all 30 Assembly segments in the Union Territory of Puducherry as the party will contest the upcoming elections on its own. Congress and DMK broadly agreed on Sunday, March 22, 2026, to share 15 seats each in the 30-member Puducherry Assembly, which will go to polls on April 9.
West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee launched her campaign for Bhabanipur Assembly constituency with a workers’ meeting on Sunday, March 21, 2026. The Union Territory of Assam, Kerala and Puducherry will go to polls on April 9, 2026. Elections in Tamil Nadu will be held on April 23. The first phase of the elections will be held in West Bengal on April 23, 2026, and the second phase will be held on April 29, 2026. The counting of all these elections will be held on May 4, 2026.
