Assembly Elections LIVE updates: T.N. CM Stalin takes surprise ride in Chennai Metro, interacts with passengers

BJP State President Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Friday, April 10, 2026, said that the 2026 Assembly elections will be the last contest between the three political fronts in Kerala.
Mr. Chandrasekhar, who is contesting from Nemom constituency, told reporters in Thiruvananthapuram that there will be only two political fronts in the State after the Assembly elections.
“It will be NDA on one side and the Congress-CPI(M) alliance, which they have in 27 States and 8 Union Territories, on the other. It will come here too,” he said.
Chandrasekhar claimed that there was no difference between the Congress and the CPI(M).
“Their politics, ideology and track record are the same. I see a big change coming with Kerala moving towards bipolar politics. One of the poles will be the BJP-led NDA,” he said.
He said that the BJP is not an arrogant party and the acceptability it gets from the voters will be evident on the results day on May 4.
About his prospects in Nemom, Mr. Chandrasekhar said intensive work was being done in the constituency.
“We went before the voters and told them what we would do if we got their support. The voters will decide, we will see this on May 4,” he said. — PTI
