Poll of the day: Do you support the expansion of Heathrow Airport?

The plans to expand the Heathrow airport with a third runway £ 21 billion have returned to the table – and the division between support and opposing ones is already a gap.

The project, which aims to increase economic growth and create business, gained support from the Labor Government.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves insists that despite the increase in the opposition from his own party, the expansion will continue.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan said that a third runway will deteriorate air pollution, increase noise for residents and risk England’s climate targets at risk. He participates in other senior labor figures, including Andy Burnham and Ed Miliband to question the government’s priorities.

Heathrow says he can get planning approval by 2029 and open the runway in ten years. However, critics argue that the project will have a “big stroke effect in London’s infrastructure and that it will face the risk of deepening regional inequalities by focusing on the growth in the capital.

So, do you support the plan to expand Heathrow – or do you believe there is a wrong direction for England?
