Maluach was a member of the South Sudan National Basketball Team, which pushed the US team to the threshold of the Paris Olympics. North Carolina competed in the Maluach NBA Academy in Africa before landing on Durham. It is currently the highest tights player in the Academy.

Maluach made an average of 8.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per match in Duke. In April, he launched 39 games for Blue Devils, who was moving to the Final Four.

Maluach wore a rockets hat on the draft scene because the process reported to be included has not yet been official. Maluach wore a sun hat at a press conference after it was prepared. He expressed excitement about going to Arizona.
