Attack on migrants has received national attention, will be sorted out, says WB Governor

On Friday, August 8, 2025, the Western Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose expressed his hope that the issue, which includes the targeting and harassment of Bengalial -speaking immigrants, attracted national interest and satisfactory.

“This is an issue that attracts national interest. We are a mature democracy. We will be able to solve such issues satisfactory. I am sure that the nation will receive justice …” Governor said that he answered the question about the harassment of immigrants.

The statements made by the Governor gain importance because thousands of immigrants from the state were detained and harassed in the state states. Western Bengal Prime Minister Mamata Bannerler called for a ‘language movement’ to protest the targeting of immigrants to speak in Bengaline.

This is the first situation that the governor speaks about the aim of the immigrants. Meanwhile, the harassment reports of immigrants continue in different parts of West Bengal.

On Thursday, the Western Bengal immigrant prosperity board President Samirul visited various Bengalli settlements in Islamic Gurgram, where the inhabitants spoke. “Most of the Bengalli immigrant workers, one of the slums of almost all slums, have already returned to our Western Bengal.

Western Bengal BJP leader Rahul Sinha said that the leadership of Trinamool Congress misleaded people.
