Attack on migrants has received national attention, will be sorted out, says WB Governor

On Friday, August 8, 2025, the Western Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose expressed his hope that the issue, which includes the targeting and harassment of Bengalial -speaking immigrants, attracted national interest and satisfactory.
“This is an issue that attracts national interest. We are a mature democracy. We will be able to solve such issues satisfactory. I am sure that the nation will receive justice …” Governor said that he answered the question about the harassment of immigrants.
The statements made by the Governor gain importance because thousands of immigrants from the state were detained and harassed in the state states. Western Bengal Prime Minister Mamata Bannerler called for a ‘language movement’ to protest the targeting of immigrants to speak in Bengaline.
This is the first situation that the governor speaks about the aim of the immigrants. Meanwhile, the harassment reports of immigrants continue in different parts of West Bengal.

Western Bengal BJP leader Rahul Sinha said that the leadership of Trinamool Congress misleaded people. Sinha, “Western Bengal and Bangladesh living in Banglades, but there is a difference in the language spoken by people in the neighboring country. TMC is fighting for the language of Bangladesh,” he said.
