30 killed as China sees summer of extreme weather

At least 30 people died in Beijing and evacuated to more than 80,000 security, Chinese authorities were destroying the roads and houses of heavy rains and floods in Northern China.

Eight people died on Monday after a landslide in Chengde City, about three hours northeast of Beijing.

China is dealing with excessive air one summer. While the floods sweep the southwest of the country, record hot waves hit the eastern part of the country at the beginning of this month.

Against the floor of gigantic floods in Northern China, President Xi Jinping called on “All-out” efforts and told the authorities to prepare for “the worst and extreme scenarios”.

“No effort should be made to search and save those who have been missing or trapped, transfer the inhabitants in the affected areas and re -place the wounded to the greatest possible extent possible.” He said.

The Chinese authorities have allocated 200 million yuan ($ 28 million; $ 21 million) for rescue efforts, including transportation and repair of other infrastructure.

Beijing skirts, including the suburban regions of Miyun and Huairou, were hit by the hardest rain.

The floods damaged dozens of roads and broke the power to more than 130 villages. The videos show the rescuers circulating in the flood waters in the depth of chest to reach the residents, as well as helicopters and drones that help the ferry and other aid zone.

Mrs. Yang, who works in Hebei province, said she was very worried about her family living in the Miyun region, one of the most hit by the floods.

Since Sunday, they have not been able to communicate with their parents and grandfather who had suffered from health problems and had mobility. His family was also interested in his pets: eight cats and three dogs.

He added that his villages were small and far away, with about 10 households, he was afraid that the savors could completely miss him. He went to social media to object to recovering from helplessness, hoping that they would be nearby.

Residents from the flood hit areas remembered how fast the disaster emerged.

“The Tufan, like this, hurriedly and suddenly hurriedly,” said Zhuang Zhelin, a store owner in the town of Taishitun near Beijing. He said. “Never, he was filling a place.”

Zhuang’s neighbor Associated Press said when floods arrived, “he just expects to run up and save”.

Im I remember thinking, if no one comes to take us, we will have a real problem, ”he said.

Beijing, especially at this time of the year, is not alien to floods. One of the most deadly in the last memory occurred in July 2012, when the 190 mm rain was leaning in a day and killed 79 people.

This summer, floods caused destruction in China’s areas.

At the beginning of this month, when Typhoon Wipha shot East China, two people died and 10 people disappeared. Two weeks ago, a landslide killed three people in Ya’an, southwest of China.

Excessive weather, where experts were attached to climate change, increasingly threatened the Chinese residents and the economy – especially the trillion -dollar agricultural sector.

The Ministry of Emergency Management said that the natural disasters in the first half of the year cost China’s 54.11 billion Yuan (7.5 billion dollars; £ 5.7 billion) in the first half of the year. The Ministry said that the waters constitute more than 90% of the damages.
