The Election Committee N Chandra said on Friday that Hivebound was chosen as the official entry of India for the 2026 Academy Awards in the best international feature category.

Addressing a press conference in Kalcutta, Chandra said that a total of 24 films in different languages ​​represented the country in Oscar. “This was a very difficult choice. These were films that touched people’s lives.”

“We were not a judge, we were coaches. We were looking for players who traced.” The 12 -member Election Committee consisted of manufacturers, directors, writers, editors and journalists.
