Australia Post reveals its Christmas cut-off dates to deliver parcels nationwide

Australia Post will resume weekend deliveries on Saturday as online shopping increases in the run-up to Christmas.
Postal services expect more than 100 million parcels to be delivered before Christmas and will restart weekend delivery services in capital cities and some regional areas on Saturday to ensure parcels are delivered in time for the festive season.
If there is sufficient demand, weekend service will continue until Christmas.
Australia Post Executive General Manager Gary Starr said they expect to see a significant increase in parcel volumes and online spending as Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales approach.
“In preparation, we have recruited thousands of additional team members and expanded our delivery options, including more self-service Parcel Lockers and extended Post Office processing hours, to make collecting parcels easier than ever before,” he said.
“Last year, we delivered nearly 103 million packages during the Black Friday sales period, and we’re poised for even greater success this holiday season.
“Weekend deliveries are just one way Australia Post is stepping up to support our customers during our busiest time of the year.”
