Australian Daisy Thomas stretchered off in practice session
– Livigno: Australian teenager Daisy Thomas was left nervous after her accident during training at the Milan Cortina Olympics on Friday afternoon local time.
On the final jump of Friday’s final practice run, Thomas crashed and crashed to the bottom of the Livigno slopestyle course with just 15 minutes left in the session.

The 18-year-old’s coach, Noah, was a few minutes behind him on the tracks and came to his aid before he was taken off on a stretcher by medical staff.
She will compete in her first event tomorrow morning (the women’s freeski piste style qualifiers) and has also qualified for the women’s freeski big air event that starts on February 16.
Thomas tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in November, but recovered from the injury and returned to competition in January, making his Olympic debut at the 2026 Olympics in Milan Cortina.

Speaking at a media conference two days before the accident, Thomas said he was able to remain competitive despite his injury.
“I had my ACL done about a month and a half ago, so right now I only ski without an ACL,” he said.
“I’m strong enough, I’m skilled enough and I’ve got my skills back, so I can do it and I don’t actually notice it at all. The goal is still the same; I’d love to get an Olympic medal.”
