Wisconsin dairy farmer sues Trump administration claiming discrimination against white farmers

Madison, WIS. (AP) – Wisconsin Milk Farmers claimed that in a federal case on Monday, the Trump administration continued the programs that prefer minorities and rejected financial aid to white farmers in an illegal way.

The conservative Wisconsin Institute of Law and Freedom filed a lawsuit against the US Department of Agriculture in the federal court in Wisconsin on behalf of a white milk farmer Adam Faust.

“USDA should honor the promise to end racial discrimination in the federal government, Fa says Faust, Faust said in a written statement. “After being ignored by a federal agency intended to support agriculture, I hope that my case will answer, accountability and results from USDA.”

Anna Kelly, Trump management spokesman, did not respond immediately to an e -mail looking for comments on Monday.

The case claims that Faust is one of the 2 million white male American farmers subject to discriminatory race -based policies in USDA.

The case calls the white men in a disadvantaged way and says that the three USDA programs and policies say that the constitution violates the equal treatment guarantee of race and gender.

Faust joins a program designed to balance the gap between milk prices and feed cost, but claims that the case, minority and female farmers have not had to pay for $ 100 administrative fees.

Faust also participates in a USDA program that guarantees 95% of 95% of the value of loans to white farmers, but 95% for women and racial minorities. The case makes Faust disadvantageous.

Faust also started to work on a new fertilizer storage system that may be entitled to receiving refund within a USDA Environmental Protection Program, but 75% of its costs are suitable, while 90% of the costs of minority farmers are entitled.

In a similar 2021 case, a Federal Court judge decided that the lenting of loans was given only to “socially disadvantaged farmers” meant unconstitutional racial discrimination. Biden management suspended the program and the Congress abolished in 2022.

The Wisconsin Institute filed dozens of lawsuits in 25 states attacking DEI programs. In a letter to USDA in April, the law office, which had a long history of representing republicans, said that he did not want to sue, but there is no excuse for discrimination.
