Austria moved to quell controversy
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez called for Israel to be excluded in May, but the official step was only recently thrown by state publisher RTV.

However, Australia remains connected to the event, but SBS said it would continue the tradition of publishing the show. Among the Australian artists in Eurovision were Dami Im, Jessica Mauboy, Kate Miller-Heidke and Guy Sebastian.
Russia was banned from the demonstration after the full -scale Ukrainian invasion in 2022, but Eurovision expert Dr Barbara Barreiro Leon said that the problem with Israel has differences.
“Usually ignored the key point, not the countries or governments competing in Eurovision, not national publishers,” said Leon, a lecturer in Visual Culture.

“In Israel’s case, not the state itself, but the blood (Israeli public broadcasting company).
“For the comparison, Russia has been found to violate the rules of the publisher Eurovision and used its platform for propaganda purposes, something is not officially accused.”
The European Publication Union (EBU), which has been coordinating the event on behalf of its members since 1955, will decide to participate in a meeting in December.
Leon said that Israel’s criticism has increased in Eurovision communities since 2023 and has been ruled by young fans due to the destruction in Gaza.
“Considering these pressures, Ebu may have to review the problem at the end of the end,” he said.

In his letters, 70 former competitors made a direct comparison with Russia when they called on Abu to ban Israel.
“The representation of the Israeli state continues to the platform, Abu normalizes and makes whitewashing crimes,” he said.
“Abu has already shown that he could take precautions when he fired Russia from competition, as in 2022. We do not accept this double standard about Israel.”
France confirmed the support he gave to the event, and BBC General Manager Tim Davie said last week to include Israel in a Parliament Committee last week.
“Eurovision has never been about politics – there must be a music and culture celebration that brings people together,” he said. “We must see what the publication unit decides.”
German Culture Minister Wolfram Weimer supported Austria at the weekend by warning Austria by warning “Cancel culture, by breaking an event that tries to unite Europe after the Second World War.
“Eurovision was founded to bring nations together through music.
“It should not be a scene of exclusion because it was born in the ruins of the Eurovision war.”
