Axis Bank names Neeraj Gambhir as Executive Director for a 3-year term

Axis Bank appointed Neeraj Gambhir as an executive director for a three -year period, and the lender was informed on Friday, July 18, 2025. Gambhir will serve as the General Manager on 4 August 2025 or on the date of approved the appointment of the Indian Reserve Bank.

“Based on the advice of the nomination and wage committee, Axis Bank Limited (“ Bank ”) approved the appointment of Neeraj Gambhir (00257375) of the Board of Directors (00257375) and determined as the“ Manager Director ”.

In addition to the appointment of Neeraj Gambhir, the Bank announced that Arjun Chowdry, a group of wealthy banking, cards, payments and retail loans, has resigned to follow an entrepreneurial career. His resignation will be valid as of August 31, 2025.

Who is Neeraj Gambhir?

Neeraj Gambhir, who is 52 years old, has been the Group Manager responsible for Treasury, Markets and Wholesale Banking products in Axis Bank since May 2020. Gambhir, who has more than thirty years of experience in the Indian financial sector, took part in both major domestic and international banking and financial services organizations.

In addition, India’s Nomura served as the General Manager in India and led to fixed income business. Before that, Gambhir, Lehman Brothers was the general manager who controls the credit business in the country in India.

He is currently working in Sebı’s investment funds and corporate bonds and consultation committees (Cobosac) and he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Corporate Debt Markets Development Fund established by the market regulator.

Gambhir is a member of the Board of Directors of Axis Asset Management Company Limited, president of the EKSEN Pension Fund Management Limited Board, is the Vice President of the Indian Fixed Income Monetary Market and Derivative Association, and is also a member of the Association for the Index Code Participants Association.

Gambhir has an engineering license in the field of computer science and completed his graduate education in the field of business management at the Lucknow Indian Management Institute.
