The Australian fitness mogul and influencer was spotted striding through Sydney Airport on Thursday in an outfit that raised more than a few eyebrows: a pair of oversized white and navy shorts, the unmistakable colors of AFL star Bailey Smith’s team, the Geelong Cats.
Keen fans were quick to point out that the shorts looked almost identical to the ones Smith wore in the latest Cotton On campaign, fueling speculation that the couple’s on-again, off-again romance might not be over.
The 31-year-old actress paired her sporty look with a fitted white tank top, black ballet flats and a brown designer bag.
Cheeky fashion statements that gloss over her relationship status appear to be a signature move of Hembrow’s after she posted a video doing something similar on Tik Tok in August.
A few days after she was seen on a date with Smith, she posted a Tik Tok video wearing the jacket Smith wore in the Paparazzi photos.
Hembrow spoke in his popular tone: “Don’t be boring. This whole town is boring. I don’t care.”
Viewers noted the coincidence that Smith was wearing the same Adidas sportswear he was wearing when he was caught leaving the Burleigh Pavilion the previous Saturday.
The Sydney Airport appearance comes just weeks after Smith shut down romance talks for good during an appearance on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show.
‘What’s going on (between you and Tammy)? ‘Are you taking Tammy tonight or not?’ presenter Kyle Sandilands asked ahead of the Brownlow Medal.
Smith quickly clarified: ‘No, I’m not. No. I didn’t want to bore him with football all night. He’s not a big football fan. And we’re just friends.’
‘So you’re not exclusive or boyfriend and girlfriend?’ co-host Jackie-O Henderson pressed.
Smith simply replied: ‘No, we’re just friends.’
Despite the friend zone comments, insiders say the duo’s chemistry has been undeniable since their first few dates, but Bailey reportedly calmed down after hearing stories about Tammy’s short-lived marriage to Matt Zukowski.
“A couple of Matt’s friends got into Bailey’s ear and told him what was really going on,” the insider said Daily Mail.
“The revelations did not reflect well on Tammy; Bailey appreciated the warning and it certainly gave her pause for thought.”
Hembrow and Zukowski were married for just seven months before splitting, and just weeks later he was spotted keeping an eye on Bailey on the Gold Coast.
Although sparks initially flew, another source said Bailey eventually pulled back: “He was open to seeing where things could go but eventually called the time.”
