Under Operation Suraksha, officers and personnel of CCB and local police stations are conducting night patrols on shift basis in sensitive areas of the city. During these patrols, the police detect common rowdies who disturb public peace, provoke others, possess lethal weapons, and are involved in immoral and illegal activities. Cases are registered on a daily basis under the Karnataka Police Act, 1972 and other relevant laws.

Since December 2025, the police have recorded 151 cases related to the sale and consumption of narcotic substances during night operations at various police stations. Additionally, 1,280 cases were registered against persons disturbing public peace under the Karnataka Police Act. Such people were given counseling and warnings not to repeat the crimes.
