Ranveer Singh made a spectacular comeback with his role as Dhurandhar in Aditya Dhar’s directorial, which released on Friday. The film opened to positive reviews, especially for its story and characters, with many fans already tagging it as a blockbuster. According to reports, Dhurandhar was successful and received great response at the box office. The film reportedly earned Rs 27 million on Day 1 in India.

According to a report in Sacnilk, Dhurandhar’s overall occupancy rate in the Indian market was 33.81%. While the occupancy rate in the morning show was 15.49%, the word-of-mouth occupancy rate in the night shows enabled the film to reach almost 60%.

With these positive opening numbers, Dhurandhar has also effectively proven wrong all the trade gurus who predicted more than Rs 20 crore on its first day for the Ranveer Singh starrer. Dhurandhar also surpassed Ahaan Panday’s Saiyaara, which earned Rs 21 billion at the box office on Day 1. However, this year Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava remains the highest opening of the year with Rs 31 crore.

When will Dhurandhar Episode 2 release in India?

Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi, Dhurandhar will be released in two parts. The first episode was released on Friday, and the second part will be released in theaters on March 19, 2026. It will clash with Yash’s Toxic at the box office.
