Gadkari urges sugar producers to diversify operations amid surplus production

New Delhi, September 11 (PTI) Union Minister Nitin Gadkari called on Thursday to diversify the operations of sugar producers and explore the production of ethanol-teaching and green hydrogen production in terms of plus sugar production in the country.
Isma’s ‘Indian Sugar and Bio-Energy Conference 2025’ addressed Gadkari, sugar is a need to focus on the production of allied products, he said.

“Now there is no alternative to reduce sugar production in India, because sugar production will create a big problem in the country in the coming days,” Gadkari said. He said.
