It takes a lot of dedication to win awards at an event like this; there were lots of secret shoppers sent out to the venues and I did an exclusive interview where you had to record yourself talking and answering questions. So I worked really hard for it. Winning awards in Canberra, getting all these accolades that put me nationally – it’s beyond rewarding. You should have seen my smile. I cried, I shivered, I took pins and needles, and I could have braided the hair on my arms, it stood so straight up.”
