BBC Question Time audience erupts as MP rebukes Nadine Dorries | News

BBC Question Time The audience applauded after Reform UK’s Nadine Dorries was criticized for her stance on immigration.
On Thursday (February 12), the former Conservative minister and now Reform UK member defended Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who this week claimed Britain was being “colonized” by immigrants.
Falsely claimed that the UK population had increased by 12 million since 2020; that number increased by an estimated 2.7 million.
Dorries said that although Sir Jim misspelled the numbers and used “poor choice of words”, he “knew what he meant”.
Green Party MP Ellie Chowns criticized both Sir Jim and Ms Dorries, saying “inequality is the problem in this country” and claiming the failure of successive governments to prioritize housing and public services had led to decline rather than migration.
