3.5 lakh Students From 28 States Attend HCL Jigsaw Contest

At a time when AI tools reshape classes and workplaces, HCL Jigsaw, the HCL Group’s flagship problem -solving platform, proves that the future will still belong to human creativity, flexibility and critical thought. The sixth edition of the competition ended today, the participation of 3.5 Lakh students across the country and 12 winners ‘India’s best young problem solvents’ and the second second.

The competition, which was structured in three rounds, forced students not only to answer the questions, but to solve the real world problems related to the legal lawsuit from plastic alternatives in the packaging. In the last round, they blended the students’ solutions in front of a jury and blended their research with innovative thought.

Speaking on this occasion, Rajat Chandoli, Vice President and Brand President, HCL Group Strategy, “When we started HCL Jigsaw in 2021, our vision was to ignite the young minds, critical thinking, creativity and real world problem solving. In line with the new education policy, it continues to challenge norms and design innovative solutions.

The event witnessed the maximum participation of Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karngana, TaLangana and Delhi. More than 3.5 of the Lakh records, students a national Olympic, collaborative semi -finals, and finally in the big finals. Each class (6-9) was declared as the best team and had two teams per class. This year’s winners came from schools of Haydarabad, Noida, Coimbatore, Indore, Ahmedabad and more and reflecting the real national spread of the competition.

6. Class participants were evaluated for designing solutions around the theme of ‘replace the plastic with biologically fragmented packaging’:

• Winners: Vanshaj Gunda, Dhatri Sai Redy, Abhinaya kethineed – Gitangali Devakul, Haydarabad

• Second Place: Yatin Garg, Saadhika Kumar, Reyansh Gupta – Amity International School, Belapur, Navi Mumbai

• Second place: Anaisha Goyal, Ira Jain, Samvit Sharma – Choitram School, Indore

7. Class participants were evaluated for designing solutions around the theme of ‘E-Commerce Dark Store Hygiene’:

• Winners: Krishiv Suri, Idhant Vijay, Ayaana Gupta – ITL public school, dwarka

• Second place: Deekshitha PS, Ratul R, Taahir Ahmed – Sairam Leo Muthu State School

• Second place: Denmark A, Nagulan K, Sharveel – SSVM School of Excellence, Coimbatore

8. Class participants were evaluated for designing solutions around the theme of ‘efficiently solving legal cases’:

• Winners: Addh TB, Harshithaa SB, Tanvi V – Ology Tech School, Coimbatore

• Second place: Khushi, Parnidhi Choudhary, Samrath Sharma – Ordu Public School, BD Bari

• Second Place: Viren Sunil Bhokre, Atharva Ghuge, Gargi Jadhav – Podar International School, Sambhaji Nagar

9. Class participants were evaluated for designing solutions around the theme of ‘Public Cleaning Challan’:

• Winners: Aakarsh Pandey, Dhruvika Srivastava, Adwita Kashyap – Amity International School, Noida

• Second: Unnati Bhadoriya, Vatsal R Maruniya, Vrushti Higgins – Adani Vidya Mandir, Ahmedabad

• Second: Abhipsa Muduli, Monisha M, Shubhajit Chowdury – Pragathi Orkide International School, Whitefield

HCL Jigsaw is designed not only as a problem evaluation platform, but as a learning experience. The students had access to previously recorded modules and live Masterclasss led by subject experts, equipped them with research, critical thinking and communication skills. Since its release in 2020, the platform has joined 6 Lakh students throughout the country. The winners also receive opportunities to visit HCL’s innovation laboratories and to be exposed to the latest technologies and potential career paths.
