The government on Sunday, June 28, 2026, “categorically” rejected Pakistan’s “baseless allegations” of India’s involvement in an attack on a security facility in Karachi.
Randhir Jaiswal, official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, said, “We have seen Pakistan making baseless allegations against India regarding the recent incident in Karachi. We categorically reject these. Instead of pointing fingers at others, it would be better for Pakistan to look inward, take credible action against the terrorist infrastructure on its territory and get rid of the tendency to use terrorism as a tool of state policy.”
At least three personnel of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) were killed and four personnel were injured in an attack in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar district on Saturday, the country’s DGISPR said. The statement said, “The attackers tried to violate the environmental security after the explosion at the main gate of the camp.”
After the attack on Saturday, Pakistani Information Minister Muhsin Naqvi said, “These terrorists are normal terrorists. India supports them.”
Several terror attacks that shook Pakistan this weekend spread from Karachi to Balochistan, allegedly involving groups such as Jamaatul Ahrar and the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).
Throughout June, Pakistan carried out operations against groups linked to India in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Sindh regions.
BLA said it carried out an attack on a Pakistani military camp in Ziarat, Balochistan. In his message to the media, he promised that such attacks would continue.
