Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij announce their separation

Reports of popular television couple Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali’s marital troubles have been doing the rounds for a while now and now the duo has finally announced their separation through a social media post. Both Mahhi and Jay shared a note on their respective Instagram Stories explaining their decision to part ways after 14 years of marriage.

“Today we choose to part ways on the journey called life, but we continue to have each other’s backs. Peace, growth, kindness and humanity have always been our guiding values,” the post read. They promised to be good parents to their three children while continuing their individual lives. “For the sake of our children Tara, Khushi and Ranjveer, we are committed to being the best parents, best friends and doing whatever it takes to do what’s right for them,” they added.

Mahhi and Jay also revealed that their decision did not come from a negative place and that they chose peace over drama. They also wrote: “Although we walk separate paths, there are no villains in this story and there is no negativity associated with this decision. Before any conclusions are drawn, please know that we choose peace over drama and sanity above all else.”

In the end, the two expressed their desire to remain friends and continue to support each other. “We continue to respect each other, support each other, and remain friends, as always. With mutual respect, we ask for your respect, love, and kindness as we move forward. — Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali,” they concluded their post.

Mahhi and Jay, who have been in a relationship for a while, remarried in 2011. They won the dance reality show Nach Baliye 5 in 2013. The couple welcomed two children, Rajveer and Khushi, in 2017 and welcomed their biological daughter Tara in 2019.
