Bernard Keane, you can’t speak on free speech

Dear Bernard Keane,

I am writing in response to your article. ‘Discourse of power’ in Australia’s tin civil society‘ On the verge of defeating freedom of expression.

As a white atheist male who claims to be straight, having the privilege of a paid media platform to express your views, you will never, ever understand the impact of hate speech or antisemitism.

You may have empathy, sympathy, and intellectual understanding, but your nature, position, and experiences make you immune to the harmful aspects of the “freedom of expression” you advocate.
