Bert Kreischer calls bus fire a blessing after narrow escape from flames

Bert Kreischer counted his blessings after narrowly escaping disaster.
The comedian was on tour in the Midwest on Sunday and was thankful to be safe after his bus caught fire the night before.
Kreischer, 53, admitted his team was safe despite the fire and noted on social media that “God works in mysterious ways.”

“Okay, here’s everything you need to know about the bus,” Kreischer told fans Monday while sharing a carousel of photos showing the bus’ charred remains.

About an hour after leaving a tour stop in Fargo, North Dakota, the front right tire blew and “completely ripped off” the rim.
“God works in mysterious ways.”

“Both bus drivers said they had never seen anything like this in 35 years,” he said. “We waited a few hours, then we got off the bus, got into the crew buses, and headed for Cedar Rapids. That morning, our bus caught fire on the road.”
Kreischer, who received approval for another season of Netflix’s “Free Bert” series on Monday, shared the images of the burnt bus with his followers on Instagram.

“Everyone is fine. Dewy, the bus driver, got off on time,” Kreischer said. “He said the fire actually started and within 15 seconds the forward cabin was engulfed in flames.
“Both bus drivers said they had never seen anything like this in 35 years.”

“The good thing you need to know is that if we had slept on that bus, we would have all been stuck in the back and we would have died today. Yesterday, we would have died yesterday.”
He added, “So it was a blessing that we had a boom. It was a blessing. So today, no matter how frustrated you are, realize that everything is a blessing. God works in mysterious ways.”
While no one on the plane was injured, Kreischer and his team had to buy new clothes after losing everything on the bus.
