AIADMK Secretary General Edappadi K. Palaniswami claimed that the DMK government did not show any interest in leaving the Godavari-Cauvery River project on Monday.
The former Prime Minister said the government strongly followed the project and even enabled the provisions of the governments of TaLangana and Andhra Pradesh to support the offer. Two states said that the project could be implemented as a drinking water project instead of the river binding project, Palaniswam said. He addressed the farmers in Tiruvarur throughout the state. Makkalai Kappom, Thamizhgathai Meetpom Campaign on July 21st.
Mr. Palaniswami also questioned the current situation of the Rasimanal Dam Project. He said that if a dam was built along Cauvery in Rasimanal in Tamil Nadu, it would be possible to save about 62 TMCFT water.
The State Government could now easily convince the Congress of the Partner in Karnataka to release the Mekedatu project and to support the Rasimanal Dam project.
Wondering what prevented the government to achieve this goal that will support the Delta region, DMK claimed that the DMK refused to act in favor of Tamil Nadu while sharing power for more than 15 years with BJP and Congress.
Later on the day, the Secretary General of AIADMK addressed a meeting on the roadside meeting in Mannargudidi during the AIADMK regime.
He went to Mannargudidi to Thirubhuvanam in the segment of the Thiruvidaimaruthur Assembly in the Thanjavur region, where he wanted to vote in favor of AIADMK by illuminating people about the upright increase in the cost of living in Tamil Nadu. “When the DMK came to power, almost all sectors have recorded a steep price increase affecting the lives of people, especially rural people. In addition, education became even more beloved for poor people,” he added.
From there, he went to Kumbakonam, Secretary General of AIADMK and called the current DMK government as the ‘unsuccessful model’ government and addressed the voters who demanded support to the party in the coming parliamentary elections.
