Country star Lauren Alaina shares how Miranda Lambert gave her a reality check about the music industry during an unexpected first date.
Alaina, 31, remembered that moment while participating in a program recently. “The Taste of Country Nights.” He was asked who gave him some of the best advice, both in his career and personal life, and he said Lambert was responsible for giving him some solid tips.
“Miranda Lambert – I met her in the bathroom at the BMI Awards. It was the first time I met her and she said, ‘Don’t let this town or anyone change you. You’re a sweet Southern girl and stay that way,'” the “Road Less Traveled” singer said.

“I didn’t even know you knew who I was. It was the sweetest moment of my life,” she added.
Alaina made her music industry debut on the “American Idol” stage at the age of 15. He reached the finals of the song contest in 2011. Scotty McCreery finished first and second.

Lambert’s advice comes after he previously opened up about delving deeper into his country roots.

The 42-year-old country star revealed that she has embraced her inner cowgirl by shooting, an adrenaline-fuelled hobby.
“I just started last year. I’m not good at all, but I love it,” Lambert said on “The Joe Rogan Experience” last October.

He said he was introduced to the sport by his friend Ken Shane, a 10-time world champion in the discipline.
“I never had the courage to do it, you know? And finally my husband said, ‘Stop talking about it and just go out there and do it. Go out there and shoot with it. You’ll love it.'”

According to the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association, this is “a fast-action, timed event utilizing two .45-caliber single-action pistols, each loaded with five rounds of specially prepared blank-fire ammunition.” Competitors are scored based on time and accuracy; Points are deducted for dropping a gun, missing a balloon, and other factors.
