BIE Seeks Poll Duty Exemption for Government College Staff

Hyderabad: Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has requested the State Election Commission (SEC) to exempt government and government sector colleges staff from election duties of upcoming local bodies.

In a letter to State Election Commissioner Rani Kumudini, TGBIE secretary S. Krishna Aditya informed the commission that 21,844 staff, including 19,241 faculty and 2,603 ​​non-teaching staff belonging to government and state sector colleges, have been deployed to conduct practical and theoretical examinations.

Krishna Aditya stated that the English practical exams for 1st and 2nd year intermediate students will be held on January 21 and 22 respectively, followed by the ethical and human values ​​exam on January 23 and the environmental education exam on January 24. He also stated that practical exams will be held between 2-21 February and theory exams will be held between 25 February-18 March.

TGBIE secretary said, “During this period, high-level coordination, supervision and supervision of teaching staff and non-teaching staff at various booths and their services during pre-planned examination programs become even more important.

Keeping this in mind, he requested not to allocate any posts and seek exemption from duties related to the upcoming elections (municipal body/municipality, urban local bodies and rural local body polls (MPTC and ZPTC)).
