Putrada Ekadashi Rituals

• Performing Lord Vishnu’s Panchamrit Abhishek is believed to remove obstacles related to career advancement, promotions and business success while bringing mental peace.

• Writing ‘Om Vishnave Namah’ on a betel leaf and offering it at the feet of Lord Vishnu and then placing it in the cupboard is said to promote financial stability.

• It is believed that offering bananas to Lord Vishnu and feeding ghee and jaggery to cows will bring happiness and prosperity to children.

• It is believed that chanting ‘Shri’ to three Tulsi leaves 11 times and offering it during puja, followed by lighting a lamp next to the Tulsi plant in the evening, opens the door to growth and abundance.

• It is considered extremely auspicious to light an oil lamp under a Peepal tree and chant ‘Om Namo Narayanaya Namah’ on Ekadashi.
