AP Boys Bag Top Ranks in JEE Advanced 2026

Vijayawada: As the JEE (Advanced) 2026 results were announced on Monday, men from Andhra Pradesh secured top positions, including 9th position.

Medisetti Naga Saharsha, who was among the top 10 candidates in the Joint Rank List, secured 9th rank in JEE Advanced 2026 by scoring 312 out of 360 marks.

While the top rankers aim to pursue B.Tech at IIT in Mumbai, some want to take the Civil Services exam to become an IAS officer, while others are keen on starting a startup after completing the B.Tech course.

Naga Saharsha, who hails from Amalapuram in East Godavari district, said, “I want to pursue B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering at IIT in Mumbai. I also have plans to start a startup. I am very happy to have secured 9th rank and the hard work I put in while preparing for the exam helped me achieve this. I am grateful to everyone who helped me achieve this.”

His father M. Appa Rao works in the IT field and his mother Rajeswari is a housewife.

Pasala Mohith secured the 26th position. He hails from Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district. “I am happy to study from 6.30 in the morning to 22.30 in the evening, except for a lunch break for a while,” he said.

“I want to study B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering at IIT in Mumbai. I am grateful to everyone, including my family, who helped me prepare well,” he added.

His father Kiran Kumar and mother Sabitha are government doctors.

Bijjam Venkata Chandra Sekhar Reddy ranked 38th. “I used to work 12 to 13 hours a day and wanted to pursue B.Tech in CSE at IIT, Mumbai,” he said. She hails from Nujendla in Palnadu district and her father Venkata Ramana Reddy is a businessman and her mother Sudha Bharati is a housewife.

Chinni Pawan Teja secured 56th rank. He hails from Naidugudem village of Eluru district. “I want to pursue B.Tech in CSE from IIT in Mumbai and want to become an IAS officer,” he said.

Naidu Lakshmi Tejal secured 87th rank. He hails from Chandrasekharapuram in Markapur district and said: “I want to pursue B.Tech at IIT in Mumbai and need to decide which stream to opt for.”

Academic experts say that majority of the top rankers opt for B.Tech in CSE at IIT in Mumbai and aim to get placed among the top firms with a good package.
