Four people charged with murder after death of teenager | UK | News

Four people accused of murder are due to appear in court in south Wales.

Three men, ages 18, 24 and 26, and a 24-year-old woman were detained in connection with the death of 17-year-old Tristan Shae Kerr. Gwent Police said the four men will appear at Newport Magistrates’ Court on Monday, February 9.

Tristan was pronounced dead at a property in the village of 5,500 in Caerphilly, South Wales, after police were called to the scene at around 17.45 on Thursday, February 5.

A 28-year-old Hereford woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender on Friday, February 6, has been released under investigation, police said.

Tristan played for Senghenydd Saints RFC. The club described the youngster as: “A cheeky guy at the club with an infectious smile and personality.”

The club added that he would be “much missed”.

Detective Chief Inspector Jitka Tomkova-Griffiths asked people not to speculate about the identities of those involved.

“We understand that there is a great deal of interest in this investigation,” Detective Tomkova-Griffith said.
