Bihar-style BJP win coming to West Bengal, says Suvendu Adhikari

Kolkata: Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the state West Bengal BJP Suvendu Adhikari on Friday said Bihar’s victory will be repeated in Bengal and the Trinamool government led by the Mamata Banerjee government will be ousted. “Bengal will follow Union Minister Giriraj Singh’s slogan of ‘Bihar ki jeet hamari hya, aab Bangla ki baari hya’ in 2026,” Adhikari said. Asserting that the BJP will win in the upcoming assembly elections, Adhikari said, “After SIR, we will win with a clean voter registration in Bengal. I congratulated Singh and told him that in the upcoming assembly elections, we will follow Singh’s slogan in Bengal and remove the corrupt Trinamool government.”
Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress MP Sagarika Ghosh and state minister Sashi Panja, who reacted strongly to Singh’s comments that Bengal was full of Rohingya-Bangladeshis and infiltrators and that after Bihar, it would be Bengal’s turn, condemned the union minister.

“Singh said Bengal is the place of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis. The BJP repeatedly insults and insults Bengal and Bengali icons. This is nothing but insult and humiliation to Bengali and Bengali speaking people,” Ghose said.

Calling it a “historic landslide victory for the NDA in Bihar”, Adhikari said that after Bihar, it was Bengal’s turn.
DoNER Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar said “it is time to end Bengal’s forest raj” in Bengal after the BJP won in Bihar. We used to belittle Bihar before, but Bihar showed the way to democracy. After the defeat in Bihar, the opposition did not have SIR as a regular practice,” Majumdar said.
Trinamool Minister Sashi Panja said, “Singh, you have once again crossed all limits and insulted the people of Bengal. Bengal is like mini India. You said Bengal is a place inhabited by Rohingyas and infiltrators.”
