Bill Clinton makes anguished Epstein admission amid Democratic demands for Trump testimony

Former President Bill Clinton said he did not say President Donald Trump should be subpoenaed in Congress’ widening Jeffrey Epstein investigation and claimed he was unaware of any wrongdoing.

The House Oversight Committee last week impeached Bill and Hillary Clinton to determine their contacts with and knowledge of Epstein.

The panel released never-before-seen videos of hours of testimony Monday afternoon.

When California Congressman Robert Garcia, the panel’s top Democrat, pressed him on whether Trump should be subpoenaed to testify in the investigation, the former President turned the tables on the California lawmaker.

“That’s for you to decide, but he (Trump) knew him well and I had a brief discussion with him about it once,” Clinton, 79, told Garcia.

Garcia then thanked Clinton and the room fell silent, according to video of the deposition.

After a pause, Clinton spoke, providing clarifying information and stating that Garcia never requested a follow-up.

“I hate this,” Clinton said after a long pause. ‘But because there was no follow-up question, he never, I mean the president, never, this was 20-odd years ago, said anything that would make me think he was involved in anything inappropriate.’

Bill Clinton told congressional investigators that he once spoke to Donald Trump about Jeffrey Epstein and that the Republican described at the time how he and Epstein had a falling out over a real estate deal.

Clinton described a conversation she had with Trump about Epstein in the early 2000s; this was his only discussion with the Republican on the issue.

“It was on the golf course,” the former President began.

Clinton said she and Trump played in a celebrity golf tournament for their mutual friend Joe Torre, the former general manager of the New York Yankees.

The Democrat said the charity event is an annual event in which Trump will donate his golf course.

“And the day I was there, usually Donald Trump would come out and play a few holes with us, and somehow he knew I was flying on Jeffrey Epstein’s plane,” Clinton testified.

‘And he said, we had some great times together over the years, but we fell out over a real estate deal. And he said, sorry, it happened. This is everything.’

Hours later, Clinton once again stated that Trump had done nothing wrong to her knowledge.

‘You know, as I said before, the only conversation I had with President Trump about this issue was in the early 2000s, and I have no knowledge of him doing anything wrong.’
