BJP Dominates Panchayat Polls In Arunachal, Wins Bulk Of ZPM, GPM Seats

-Itanagar: The ruling BJP in Arunachal Pradesh won majority in zilla district and gram panchayat constituencies, according to the final results declared by the State Election Commission (SEC) on Sunday evening.

The counting of votes in the panchayat and municipal bodies elections was held on Saturday. However, SEC secretary Taru Talo said that the counting of votes for the panchayat elections continued till late night and it was officially confirmed on Sunday.

In the zilla community segment, the BJP won 170 of the 245 zila community members (ZPM) seats, including 59 uncontested seats, establishing its clear dominance at the district level, according to the SEC statement.
