BJP leaders did not want Karnataka CM to take part in bridge inauguration programme, alleges Congress MLA

Congress Mla Gopal Krishna claimed that the leaders of the Bharatia Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday, Prime Minister Siddaramaiah’s Sigandur Chowdeshwari Bridge and other highway works in Sagar, and did not appear beforehand.
At a press conference here, Mr. Krishna said that Mr. Siddaramaiah would participate in the program if he was previously proclaimed and he corrected the program in consultation with the state government. However, it was informed only a few days before the event. Until then, the Indi visit in Vijayapura was already planned.
“BJP leaders thought that the Prime Minister would talk about tax collection and dues from the center. They did not invite him to avoid embarrassment. Raghavendra and Union Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi planned and executed the Shivamogga deputy program.”
He claimed that the state government has carried out many development studies for the state, including the Sharavati Pumpal storage project. “It plans to produce a power of 2,000 MW. The Central Government has given its consent for 8,644 Crore costs for the project carried out at a cost.”
Regarding the opposition to the project, Mr. Krishna said the opposition from the environmentalists is expected. However, the project will not greatly disturb local habitats. A few families to be affected were convinced. He added that the government will consider the demands of Karnataka Power Corporation Limited, including jobs.
